To Be Honest...

...I've not done anything creative for a while. I've been getting far too excited about my hollibobs coming up so creativeness has been put on the back burner. I thought I'd show you a birthday card I made for my friend's little girl's 3rd birthday, in July. How the time has flown! I chose to do Ballerina fabric on lilac card with sparkly glitter hand painted dots, proper girly for a gorgeous girl!

Super Huge Commissioned Card

... made for my almost brother-in-law. 21 hand drawn images (technically 2 are photographs) depicting the 21 things that we know and love about him! It's my first attempt at a big commissioned card, but this idea wouldn't have worked on anything smaller. I must say I'm really pleased with the outcome, it took the best part of 4 days!

All Done!

Yesterday I took the final batch of cards to Pavilion Gardens Gift Boutique in Buxton. What a couple of weeks it's been! I really loved making cards to order and it is super exciting to see them selling too! I'm pleased to say my Father's Day cards have gone down rather well so far, so fingers crossed for all the others! Here is a sneak peek at a few of the age range in the Gift Shop.

In the zone...

I hadn't made any new greetings cards for a while but I've been in the zone these last few days and have crafted some new designs. I thought I'd share a few with you. I might put some in my Etsy shop which, I'm hoping, will raise some interest as it's not been very fruitful as of yet!

Double Figure Birthdays...

... are a big deal for kids! So I made these cards with them in mind, which you can find at Fibre in the Manchester Craft and Design Centre. They're abit more grown up but are still fun and funky!
I'd love your feedback, if the response is a good one I might just list them in my Etsy shop.

A personalised present...

... for my friend's 21st Birthday.



I had a few hiccups with this trying to work out the best way to embellish it and the ribbon loop does hang rather oddly; it sneakily shifted whilst I was sewing it together! All in all I am rather pleased with it. I do love clashing and contrasting prints :)


A matching card with a little added sparkle was a must!

A new venture

Last week I had the opportunity to babysit my friend's studio-shop 'Fibre' in the Manchester Craft and Design Centre. During this time I boosted my stock of handmade greetings cards, trying out various designs to fit with different occassions. Here are a few images of my designs.
