It's not far away only 2 weeks to go! If you 'like' my Facebook page you'll know I've been a busy bee making up card orders for The Pavilion Gardens in Buxton, No.12 in Marple and also a few of my friends have requested some too! So I've listed a couple in my Etsy shop so everyone can order one! Happy Sunday :)

Bob the Frog
I'd like you to meet Bob. He is the newest resident at St Georges Primary School in New Mills, which I used to attend way back in the day!
The children all helped to paint him green so he would fit into his environment in the wooded area.
Then each child drew a line drawing based around the theme of nature which me and Mrs Bartells (my artist friend who is also a teaching assistant there) transfered onto his body.
His froggy tattoos were inked on in one day with the help of some of the kids. Then finally he was varnished to make him weather and water proof so he can live happily in the wooded area, once the weather improves!
I really enjoyed the whole process of helping transform Bob the Frog from a fibreglass shell into a wonderful nature themed art piece! The children all got to take part in every step too, which I thought was an important part of the project.
The frog sculpture was from the organisation Wild In Art who have organised events such as Pride in Bournmouth, Go Superlambananas in Liverpool, Rhino Mania in Chester and WOW! Gorillas in Bristol.

Happy Birthday February!
Just a quick post as I haven't given you a card update for a while! I bought some lovely spotty washi masking tape and decided to use it in a Birthday card design. I've embellished it with fabric paint and a sprinkling of glitter, adding a stripe of yellow ribbon to brighten it up and finally making it abit girly by adding a hand tied bow, wooden flower button, a shiny diamante and pretty pink hand painted dots. Finally the hand stamped message in violet coloured ink reads 'birthday wishes!'. So, if it's your Birthday this month consider this card from me to you :)
Happy February Birthday!

New Stitched Scene
I have started a new Embroidery; it will be called 'Cat sat on Rocks' which kind of gives it away a little bit. But here is the work in progress. Whenever I get a chance I sew a bit more, with the hope that it will be finished by the end of February!

Seagull
Here he is! A little sneak peek for you all, as he is waiting to be exhibited in the Derbyshire Open Arts event in June this year. I am taking part this time as an individual artist in a brand new arts venue in New Mills. Keep the Diamond Jubilee bank holiday weekend free for an arts trail around Derbyshire! Enjoy!
