So, today I've been setting up for the opening of the Derbyshire Open Arts Festival which I am taking part in through New Mills Original gallery. It runs Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 11 - 5 and lots of artists and venues are taking part throughtout the whole of the Derbyshire county. It will be an interesting few days in which I will be exhibiting a few new pieces.
I am very excited to announce that Buxton Pavillion Gardens will be stocking my Father's Day cards in their beautiful gift shop from today! If you fancy a trip to the lovely spa town of Buxton and to see my cards you can find directions, location and information here
I sell my artist cards at New Mills Original so I thought I'd share with those who aren't local to the gallery what my hand embellished art cards look like.
It is a print of my hand stitched 'Spring Tree' which I then hand stitch tiny beads onto to accentuate the colours and add dimension. I then attach them with foam pads which creates a 'floating' effect.
Come and visit my Folksy shop to see another selection of my hand crafted cards. Just another outlet to get my self seen! It's abit empty at the moment, but keep checking as I will update it. See my shop here
I hadn't made any new greetings cards for a while but I've been in the zone these last few days and have crafted some new designs. I thought I'd share a few with you. I might put some in my Etsy shop which, I'm hoping, will raise some interest as it's not been very fruitful as of yet!

I am taking part in the Derbyshire Open Arts Festival at the end of May bank holiday weekend, so I have been busy creating new sketches and paintings to show. I'll give you a sneak peek at one of my most recent drawings.
There is still lots for me to do in preparation for the event however, I may have to get my skates on!
